Our approach

Each situation is unique, that is why we tailor the light installation exactly to your requirements. Careful light calculations and detailed advice based on our many years of experience form the basis for this. Following installation, whether the light level and the light distribution correspond to what has been agreed is then checked. You can be sure that the installation meets your requirements.

Our approach has three steps: determine the requirement, delivery and service. In fact, it is a cyclical process that never ends. We continue to support you at all times.

Step 1:
Determine lighting requirement

Each situation is unique, which is why we tailor the light installation exactly to your requirements in consultation with you. Careful light calculations and detailed advice based on our many years of experience form the basis for this. Following installation, whether the light level and the light distribution correspond to what has been agreed is then checked. You can be sure that the installation meets your requirements.

Step 2:
Delivery of fixtures and installation

The fixtures are supplied according to an agreed schedule. It is possible to provide an indicative field measurement after around 1000 burning hours.

Step 3:
Service and maintenance

Once a service and maintenance contract has been agreed, the performance of lamps and reflectors from your greenhouse can be measured in the Gavita laboratory according to an agreed schedule. Based on the results of the measurements, we will provide you with appropriate advice on the condition of the lighting installation and potential replacement of lamps or reflectors.

Tailor-made advice

In the event of expansion or replacement many choices need to be made which will have major consequences later on for the production and quality of the crop. Our advisors combine technical expertise with knowledge of the physiology of plants.

We base our recommendations on a detailed analysis of your requirements, the crop and the situation in and around the company, resulting in a well-founded recommendation on light level, type of reflector, power of the fixtures and the technical aspects of the system etc.

Sharing knowledge

Gavita attaches a great deal of importance to sharing its knowledge of new technical and economic developments. We pay attention to relevant topics via our website (see News). Our representatives update existing customers in person on a regular basis and we regularly welcome growers’ groups and advisors to our office. We also organize seminars and symposia and regularly act as the expert during events.
